Well, Guess We Won't Hear About The PS4's "Hidden Power"

By Striegler on from www.psxextreme.com

Before I begin, let me make something perfectly clear- Whenever someone wants to poke fun at Sony, developers, or journalists for using the term "hidden power" in reference to past PlayStation consoles, I get annoyed. Devs: Cost Of Making PS4 Games "Not As Scary" As You Think

By Striegler on from www.psxextreme.com

One of the biggest concerns about the next generation is the cost required to make new software. But as it turns out, the more accessible PS4 hardware means creating next-gen experiences won't necessarily break the bank. Gamasutra asked three major developers how much more expensive it is to work on games for the PS4 in comparison to the PS3. Their answers were quite encouraging; check out what

By Striegler on from www.psxextreme.com

There's no point in having a great new piece of hardware if you don't have the software to support it, right? But we probably don't have to worry about third-party support when it comes to the newly announced PlayStation 4. Sony has revealed the full list of 143 studios that are signed on to produce titles for the new console.

By Striegler on from www.psxextreme.com

It probably needed to, or there would've been a full-scale gamer revolt. Speaking to Eurogamer, Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed that the recently revealed PlayStation 4 will play used games. That's a relief.

Sony: PS4 Will Support 4K Resolution, But Games Will Not

By Striegler on from www.psxextreme.com

Last year, the amazing 4K high-definition resolution was revealed. You can actually buy a TV now that supports such an insane resolution, although it'll cost you $25k. Many were wondering if Sony's new PlayStation would support the new high-def limit and as it turns out, it will. But according to Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida, the games will not. So don't expect to see titles r

Sony Issues Full Details And Tech Specs For PlayStation 4

By Striegler on from www.psxextreme.com

I just wish they had shown the actual console, so we don't have to keep using this silly mock-up design. Getting annoying. Anyway, although we've already posted up most of the relevant PS4 info and details from the PlayStation Meeting last night (and the ensuing discussion is awfully lively), Sony has provided us with the official press release. Hence, we have more exact feature details and spec
