You Should Play: Eternal Darkness

By AssassinTRIP on from www.geekenstein.com

Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem is a horror action title for the GameCube published by Nintendo and developed by Silicon Knights. I remember reading about this game in Nintendo Power magazine towards the end of the Nintendo 64′s life cycle. The game was in fact supposed to come out for the Nintendo 64, but it was delayed to be one of the first games for the GameCube.

Today in History: January 27th 2003 – ATV Quad Power Racing 2 Hits Playstation 2

By triverse on from gamingonsony.com

Acclaim, one of the earliest Nintendo third party licensees back in the day, was not scared to take chances with games that they released. Sometimes these chances paid off for them while other times they hit a lame duck or two (Total Recall on NES anyone?). Throughout their storied career one genre seemed to evade them nearly altogether, racing. Not just racing but ATV racing to boot.

Retro Round-Up: 25 Years of Mega Man

By fragfrog on from www.igxpro.com

I thought I’d take a look back at some highlights (and low lights) from the Blue Bomber’s history, ranging all the way from his 8 and 16 bit glory days to his current status as the poster boy for everything that Capcom does wrong.

Nintendo retrospective: Nearly three decades of consoles

By TeamDigitalSpy on from www.digitalspy.com

World-famous gaming firm Nintendo has come a long way since its days as a manufacturer of Hanafuda card games. The company's legacy stretches back to as early as 1889, but only when it entered the electronics sector in the mid-1970s did it begin to make history.

Wii Wiill Miss You – A Salute to the Nintendo Wii « paranerds.com

By ParanerdKevin on from paranerds.com

Since the Wii U has been announced and hopefully the name will be changed (although obviously it won’t since it’s out November 18th, it would still be nice, remember the Nintendo Dolphin became the GameCube, the Nintendo Revolution became the Wii, someone on Nintendo really should go with their first-instincts) the Nintendo Wii has slowly been disappearing into a blip seen in a far off distance.

Mysticism vs. Science in Metroid

By SuperMario on from www.1up.com

From the beginning, Metroid has always delighted in presenting its players with different twists. Samus being a female is, of course, one of the best-known and most talked about, while others have come later.
