Google TV gets OnLive gaming service

Cloud gaming service OnLive is now available to Google TV users following a deal with LG. Users running the platform on the South Korean firm's hardware can download OnLive via an over-the-air update, though a wireless controller costing an additional $50 (£31) must be purchased.

HTC takes $40m hit on OnLive investment after restructure

HTC has confirmed that it expects to write off $40 million (£22.5m) following the internal restructuring at the OnLive game streaming company. At the weekend, the assets of OnLive were bought by a new company backed by existing investor Lauder Partners, as a way to ensure that the company can continue to operate.
